BrightStar Kennels is a family owned and operated kennel based in southeastern Colorado. It began as a partnership between Jack, wife Naomi and John, wife Stephanie.  Unfortunately we lost Jack in March of 2006.  Now the kennel continues with John, Stephanie and Naomi. 

 Jack received a BS in Agricultural Business from Colorado State University in 1968.  Son, John received an associate degree in Production Agriculture from Northeastern Junior College in 1999.  Daughter-in-law Stephanie also received an Associates degree in Production Agriculture from Northeastern Junior College in 1998. 

We are a farm based operation, with vast experience in and love for all animals. Our special relationship with our dogs has led us to expand our hobby of raising dogs into a business that we enjoy and we hope to share that joy with those who bring our puppies into their lives.

We are licensed by the State of Colorado. Our health care program is based on the guidance of leading national and local veterinarians. We attend frequent educational seminars in order to stay current with the latest developments so that we can keep our canine friends happy and healthy.

Our puppies are registered with The American Pet Registry (APR) (www.aprpets.org), some are registered through The Universal Kennel Club (UKC) (www.universalkennelclub.org), some are registered through The American Kennel Club (AKC) (www.akc.org) and some are registered with The American Canine Association (ACA) (www.acacanines.com).  The parents registry determines what registry the puppies come with.

We provide a health record showing all vaccinations and deworming, a registration paper when applicable, and the option to purchase the PAWS warranty on all of our puppies.
